The Pana40 Plus 3D has two independent detection systems; a curtain of direct infrared beams and an infrared proximity detector which operates between the hoist way doors and the landing.

All 3D models have detection that extends approximately 50-70% of the door width into the landing, depending on the lead of the hoistway door(s). The 3D operating zone is active when the door is open from about 6 inches to about 5-1/2 feet.
